3DViewStation Desktop 2020.1 : Minor update for CAD Visualization and new CAD formats supported

Paris, Wednesday, September 9th 2020. The latest version of the world's leading 2D & 3D CAD Viewer software is now available. KISTERS announced the release of 3DViewStation 2020.1, a minor update including feature enhancements and CAD systems updates.

3DViewStation 2020.1 include:

  • New setup wizard:
    • Includes all KISTERS 3DViewStation products.
    • Revised comfortable user guidance.
    • Optimised sofware distribution for desktop products.
  • Help Center: Online knowledge base for end users and administrators. Offline fallback included.

  • Measurement - solid to solid: Performance improved
  • Explode: On selections , Restriction to certain directions
  • Views can be conveniently exported as PNGs or, including the physical properties, as PDF.
  • Catia: Setting to import only the captures (without views)
  • Setting to hide the rotation mouse pointer.
  • 2D: Calibration added
  • Save as 3DVS-format.
  • Font Substitution:
    • Button in settings pane to open the FontSubstitution.csv.
    • The font substitution suggestion is inserted as a comment.
    • Default substitution font changed from Arial to MyriadCAD for better support of special characters and symbols.
  • API features
    • API: IFC Get/SetBCFVisualizationInfo with unit (default: meter)
    • API: SetBCFVisualizationInfo - SetCamera - new transition time option

    • API: New focus method - variable transition to show the area of selected objects.

We recommend that all 3DViewStation users download and install release 2020.1.
