This video demonstrates the use of CADfix to repair of a model where a large edge gap exists and exceeds the automatic stitching tolerance.
The stitching tolerance for repair is automatically computed according to model definition. Repair option is set to get only bodies or surfaces + bodies. "Only Bobies" means that the process will stop if some unused faces will remain. If CADfix fails to build a solid body in batch, stops the automatic process and launches into the Diagnostic mode. A view of the model is given with a connectivity color code and the Diagnostics panel shows poorly connected edges. CADfix automatically suggests the best fix method for this problem. CADfix closes the gap by merging points and connecting edges. CADfix automatically detects the model is properly connected and suggests to build a solid. A new solid is created and the model is ready for preparation and export to Catia V5.
